WelcomeKarte – for visitors
Tourists and day-trippers in Freiburg and towns or cities without the KONUS Guest Card can spend their visit on the move with the WelcomeKarte, a combined ticket valid for 3 days on all buses, trams and trains across the RVF network. The price includes use of the VAG Schauinsland cable car as well as entry to Freiburg’s city museums. The WelcomeKarte also offers a €2 discount on public city tours and guided tours with actors. The period of validity is always specified when the ticket is purchased. When buying your WelcomeKarte from a point-of-sale, please ensure that you write your name on the ticket. At the point-of-sale, you’ll additionally receive a free folder containing all of the offers available. You can also receive the folder by presenting your online or mobile ticket. Alternatively, the contents are available to download here. Please take note of any maintenance work affecting the Schauinsland cable car (see below).

Separate tickets will be issued in the stations at the top and bottom of the cable car upon presentation of the WelcomeKarte. You will receive free entry to Freiburg’s five city museums upon presentation of the WelcomeKarte at the museums’ ticket desks (children and young people up to the age of 27 have free entry). The museums are open Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm and are all located near the Oberlinden stop on tram line 1, with the exception of the Archäologisches Museum Colombischlössle, which is located by the Fahnenbergplatz stop on tram line 3.

- Freiburg Kultour, Freiburgerleben and Living History – WelcomeKarte Partners
The €2 discount applies to the public city tours “Gässle, Bächle und das Münster” (Alleyways, Water Channels and the Minster), offered by Freiburg Kultour, and “Höhepunkte der Altstadt” (Highlights of the Old Town), offered by Freiburgerleben, as well as to the public guided tours with actors “Die Hexe von Freiburg” (The Witch of Freiburg) and “Die Wanderhure” (The Wandering Harlot), offered by Freiburg Living History. No registration is required. The tours through the old town begin at the Rathausplatz and last around 1.5 hours, while “Die Wanderhure” starts from Martinstor. Tickets for the guided city tours are available from the tour guide or at the FWTM Tourist Information Centre (see tip).
